A ‘Standard’ is a document that provides requirements, specifications, guidelines or characteristics that can be used consistently to ensure that materials, products, processes and services are fit for their purpose and which are aligned with Best Practice.

Using Standards in FM can offer organisations the ability to demonstrate good and best practices across a range of perspectives within the profession and industry.

Performance number of FM Standards exist for FM services which are aimed at keeping organisations compliant, operating professionally, manage the risks faced whist operating in more efficient and sustainable ways; they’ll allow one to demonstrate the quality of service to customers, and they assist in embedding Best Practice into organisations.
